Why use the Makerbot Replicator Z18?

The Z18 has the largest build volume out of all of The Garage’s 3D printers, at 11.8” long,  12.0” wide, and 18.0” high, for a massive 2,592 cubic inches of build volume. This printer is good for very large or tall prints, and benefits from the same ease-of-use qualities as the Makerbot Replicator.

Like the Replicator, it is also a FDM (fused deposition modeling) 3D printer that uses an extruder to heat a plastic filament spool and deposit it onto the build platform in layers.
