You will need PreForm, the application developed by Formlabs, to turn your 3D file into a .form file. You can find it on the iMac in the Makerspace, or you can download it on your computer here: http://formlabs.com/products/preform/
PreForm has a feature called the “Magic Wand” which properly orients your 3D file for optimal printing. It is highly recommended to use this feature. For layer height, 0.1 mm results in very high quality prints, far superior to 0.1 mm layer heights on a standard 3D printer. 0.5 mm or 0.25 mm can be used for incredibly intricate details, but result in much slower print times.
